MM2 Shop FAQ: Buying, Delivery, Values and Trading
How do I order an MM2 item?
Add the knife, gun or set you want to your cart and go to checkout. You'll be taken to GetPets, our sister shop, with your cart already filled in. Sign in or make a free account, pay, and the steps on your order page take you to the delivery in MM2.
Why do I pay on GetPets and not here?
MurderMystery2.net is run by the GetPets team, and all orders are handled in one place: your account, your order history, the delivery chat and support are on GetPets. The cart is passed over automatically when you press checkout.
How long does delivery take?
In-stock items are usually delivered within minutes of payment when the delivery team is online, and within an hour or two at busy times. Items marked 24h are found for you after you order and delivered within a day. If an item is sold out, it can't be bought until it's restocked.
Which payment methods can I use?
GetPets checkout takes cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay through Stripe, and PayPal. Prices on this site are in US dollars.
How does delivery work in MM2?
After checkout, you give your Roblox username and follow the steps on your order page. A GetPets delivery agent then meets you in MM2 and sends you a trade request. Check that the item in the trade window matches what you ordered, then accept. The item lands in your inventory through the game's normal trading system, just like any other trade.
Will GetPets ever ask for my password?
No. GetPets only needs your Roblox username to deliver an item. It will never ask for your password, your 2-step verification codes or your browser cookies, because nobody needs those to send you a trade. If someone claiming to be from GetPets, Roblox or MM2 asks for them, it's a scam. Don't share anything, and report the account.
What should I do if there's a problem with my order?
Contact GetPets support and include your order details and Roblox username. The support team can check on your delivery and help with issues like a missed trade request. Never share your password or other login details while asking for help. Real support staff will never need them, so anyone who asks for them isn't really support. If we can't deliver your order, you get your money back.
What is Murder Mystery 2?
Murder Mystery 2, or MM2, is a Roblox game created by Nikilis. In each round, one player is secretly the Murderer, one is the Sheriff and everyone else is an Innocent. The Murderer tries to eliminate everyone, the Sheriff tries to shoot the Murderer, and Innocents try to survive while collecting coins. Between rounds, players level up, open boxes, craft new weapons and trade knives and guns with each other.
What are the rarest items in MM2?
The highest tier is Unique, but nearly all Unique weapons were handed out as rewards and can't be traded. Next come Ancients, which mostly come from holiday events and special passes, and then Godlies, which include the color-shifting Chromas. Vintage weapons from the original Murder Mystery are rare too, because you can only get them by trading now. Keep in mind that the rarest tier isn't always the most valuable item.
How are MM2 item values decided?
There's no official price list. Values come from community value lists that follow real trades and estimate what each item is worth compared to others. They look at rarity, demand and stability, which tells you whether a value is steady, rising or falling. Different lists don't always agree, and values change after events and updates, so check a recent list before any big trade.
What is a Chroma weapon?
A Chroma is a color-shifting version of certain Godly knives and guns. In the game it belongs to the Godly tier and shows a rainbow Chroma label, but it's much harder to get than the regular version. Some Chromas can be unboxed at a very small chance, one can be crafted, and Chromas from past events can now only be found through trading.
Do I need a certain level to trade?
Yes. MM2 only lets accounts trade once they reach a minimum level, which is level 10 at the time of writing. The rule was added to fight duping. This matters if you buy items too, because delivery happens through an in-game trade. If your account can't trade yet, play some more rounds to level up before you order.
How can I avoid getting scammed when trading?
Keep every trade inside the in-game trade window, with both sides added at the same time. Never "trust trade" by handing over your item first, never lend items, and be careful with middlemen you don't know personally. Don't trade for codes or pay strangers outside the game. Before you accept, read every item name and tier, and don't let anyone rush you.
